Mey Rude is a trans Latina lesbian entertainment journalist and cultural critic. She currently works as an Associate Editor for Out.com and writes for Out Magazine and The Advocate. Mey has over a decade of writing experience at places such as them.us, Autostraddle, and BuzzFeed. She is a Rotten Tomatoes certified film critic and an experienced sensitivity reader, having consulted on bestselling and award-winning comics and projects such as LumberjanesThe Adventure Zone, and Avatar: The Last Airbender: The Awakening of Roku.

Mey currently lives in Los Angeles with her beautiful and talented fiancée, Daisy.

She is known for queer comics column “Drawn to Comics,” her writing on trans and Latinx representation especially in all-ages media and comics, and for her writing on body positivity and sex. Much of her journalism in recent years has been as an entertainment reporter and cultural critic.
